Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced Monday that negotiators have reached a framework agreement on TikTok, with final details expected to be settled later this week.
Speaking in Madrid during trade talks with Chinese officials, Bessent said President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping are scheduled to hold a call Friday to complete the agreement.
“We’re not going to talk about the commercial terms of the deal, it’s between two private parties, but the commercial terms have been agreed upon,” Bessent told reporters.
