President Trump has ordered security clearances revoked for a new list of political foes, including lead Russiagate prosecutor Andrew Weissman, impeachment lawyer Norm Eisen, former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, former Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, former Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, and New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Just days after barring Joe Biden from accessing classified information and secure federal buildings, Trump told The Post that Blinken is the next top target. The former Secretary of State played a key role in organizing the infamous “Dirty 51” letter, in which former intelligence officials falsely claimed Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation ahead of the 2020 election.
Trump also named Sullivan and Monaco among those he will bar from classified materials and federal buildings. Sullivan, Biden’s National Security Advisor, previously served as Hillary Clinton’s chief foreign policy adviser and played a role in promoting the Trump-Russia collusion claims during the 2016 election. Monaco, a key figure in overseeing lawfare investigations against Trump, also helped orchestrate the Russia hoax while working under President Obama.
Also facing revocation are Andrew Weissmann, the lead prosecutor in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russiagate probe, who regularly criticizes Trump as an MSNBC contributor; attorney Mark Zaid, who represented Eric Ciaramella, the CIA analyst identified as the whistleblower in Trump’s 2019 impeachment over his call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky; and Norm Eisen, who served as special counsel to the Democrat-led House Judiciary Committee during the impeachment.
Eisen, a lawyer known for his opposition to Trump, is also representing anonymous FBI agents in a lawsuit against the Department of Justice to prevent the public disclosure of agents involved in the Jan. 6 investigation. He is also behind the court order issued Saturday to stop Elon Musk’s DOGE team, as well as the Secretary of the Treasury, from accessing a Treasury Department payment system.
Trump vowed Alvin Bragg and Letitia James will receive “exactly the same” punishment as Biden and the Dirty 51. Bragg prosecuted Trump last year in the so-called “hush money” case, while James pursued a civil fraud case against him over alleged financial misrepresentations.
The decision could significantly impact Bragg and James by barring them from federal courthouses, law enforcement facilities, and key government buildings in Manhattan, including the Thurgood Marshall and Daniel Patrick Moynihan courthouses, the Metropolitan Correctional Center, and the Jacob Javits Federal Building, home to the FBI’s New York field office. They will also be unable to enter the U.S. Attorney’s offices in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
