Donald Trump received all 39 of Michigan’s remaining presidential delegates from Republicans in a Saturday convention, a clear indication of unwavering support from his party ahead of a November election in the crucial swing state.
Despite continuing to be divided, the Michigan GOP's convention on Saturday demonstrated that Trump is still the party's unifying force. Nikki Haley received 36 votes from precinct delegates, compared to 1,575 for Trump.
According to Michigan GOP Chair Pete Hoekstra, who recently took the position after former chair Kristina Karamo was ousted, “It's clear that Michigan is Trump country.”
