Judge Merchan has informed the jury in Trump’s New York trial that he will deliver instructions Wednesday morning, which will take about an hour and begin at 10 am ET. Deliberations are expected to follow.
The defense and prosecution delivered their closing arguments Tuesday in Trump's historic New York criminal ‘hush money’ trial, making their final pitches to the 12-person jury before deliberations begin.
Prosecutors accuse Trump of participating in an illegal conspiracy to undermine the ‘integrity’ of the 2016 election and of executing an unlawful plan to suppress negative information, including concealing a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels.
Trump has pleaded not guilty to the 34 felony counts of falsifying business records and has denied the affair with Daniels.
The judge instructed the attorneys to inform their guests that once he starts reading the charge, no one will be allowed to enter or leave the courtroom.
Update: The jury in President Trump's New York trial has adjourned for the day without reaching a verdict.
As he exited the courtroom, President Trump gave a fist pump with his back to the camera.
