Donald Trump secures Republican Presidential Nomination

President Trump has officially become the presumptive Republican presidential nominee after receiving enough delegates.

Trump had 1,078 delegates at the start of the day, and needed 1,215 to lock in the nomination. He currently has 1,221 pledged, after scoring a victory in Washington.

Trump and Biden are set to officially become the two major party nominees this summer, when Republicans and Democrats will hold their national nominating conventions.
