During his testimony before Congress on Tuesday, former Biden business associate Tony Bobulinski asserted that Joe Biden was at the core of the Biden family's dubious overseas business transactions.
In his opening statement during closed-door testimony before the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees, Bobulinski contended that the president not only knew about the influence-peddling operation carried out by his son Hunter and brother James during his vice presidency but also actively facilitated the profitable scheme.
“It is clear to me that Joe Biden was ‘the Brand’ being sold by the Biden family,” Bobulinski said in his opening statement.
Bobulinski’s statement echoes the July testimony of former Hunter Biden associate Devon Archer. Archer and Hunter Biden were both board members of Ukrainian energy firm Burisma Holdings and once had a close relationship.
Bobulinski was engaged with the Chinese energy conglomerate CEFC and its discussions with Hunter Biden and his associates regarding a joint venture named “SinoHawk,” which ultimately did not materialize.
According to FBI notes disclosed to the House Ways and Means Committee by IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler, Bobulinski previously informed the FBI that he had a meeting with Joe Biden in Beverly Hills, California, during which they discussed business. Bobulinski informed federal agents that he and Joe Biden crossed paths during the Milken Institute Global Conference, where Joe Biden delivered a speech.
Bobulinski, as the CEO of SinoHawk, accused the Bidens of defrauding him and reiterated his account of meetings with Joe Biden in May 2017 regarding business affairs. Additionally, he mentioned that law enforcement and multiple grand juries have neglected to reach out to him to obtain his viewpoint on the business dealings of the Biden family.
